Day 2 – 21/07/2017
This morning, we woke up at 6am to have showers and get ready for the day. After, at 7, everyone made their way to the dinning area to eat breakfast. For breakfast, we had banana pancakes with chocolate and sweet lemon. Also, we had toast and tea. Then after breakfast, we made our way to the school where we greeted by lots of excited and energetic children. We started our project by sawing a piece of mahogany each with the help of the carpenter. While waiting for our turn, we played games with younger children and even taught them the hokey cokey and the dab. We came back for lunch at noon where we had Ghanaian chicken and yam fries. On the way back to the school, we saw a lot of children who could not attend school due to lack of money. This made us feel sympathetic but grateful for the education we have. Later, the buddies came and we finished our days work, then made our way back to the hotel but not before naming all the goats we saw on the way, including Gary and Garfield. For tea, we had spicy rice and egg. It was delicious.
