Beach visit, drum and dance workshop

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon School and Ayensudo Islamic JHS > Beach visit, drum and dance workshop

Day 11: 31/7/17
Hey, it’s Alex with a cheeky Ghana update. So today was another beautiful awakening by Miss Donia’s very repetitive alarm. When she finally decided to turn it off I got the classic kick in the bum by Miss Bibbs. Once we all got out of our tents the majority of us got a nice warm cup of Milo accompanied by an omelette and bread. A small group of us continued with the mural on the wall whilst the rest of us did some packing. The bus then arrived at 10 GMT and we headed off to Kosa Beach Resort with our buddies.
We dropped off our bags and took no time at all to go into the water, at first everyone thought it was freezing but after being splashed in the face by everyone we were all convinced that the water was warm. After a good half an hour of “swimming” we slowly decided to leave the sea, we then sat down to a packed lunch made by the legend Augustina #verydelicious. After that we had a lovely sit down and a cheeky game of Uno followed by volleyball. Then we had the most amazing shower ever, the water was cold but that didn’t matter because there was actual RUNNING WATER #nobucket.
When we arrived home we went into the town to show the community the dances we had practiced on Saturday. After that, the professionals showed us their skills, one man had many talents with fire that could be seen as interesting. There was then a lovely buffet supplied by the cooks that we could eat with our buddies, and Miss Donia and Miss Bibbs treated us to some Fan-Ice. Star of the day today was awarded to Sam A because of his hard work on the mural and his singing encouragement. We then celebrated our last night around the bonfire.
