Church and Elmina Castle Visit

Day 7 – 9/07/17

This morning we went to three different churches; Methodist, Catholic and Pentecost. We were made to feel incredibly welcome; with lots of dancing and singing. After lunch we went to Elmina Castle with our buddies, on the tour we learnt about the slave trade and it was very moving. A quick trip through the gifts shops buying up Ghanaian fabrics and musical instruments ended our trip and we returned to school. Before dinner we went for a quick wander down the beach and collected some coconuts then we eat our delicious food, which was rice, and egg stew. In the evening we played games and had fun with our buddies and Ghanaian friends. I had a great day and I am enjoying my week.
