Day 2 – 4/07/2017
After a four hour drive to Dutch Komenda, we were welcomed by many children who all ran up to the bus to greet us. A tiring dance later, we were introduced to our buddies and staff and we presented our gifts to them. We set up our tents and made our way down to the local fishing village. We were joined our journey by the local people. Once we made our way back to school, we fished off the evening with rice roasted, plantain and beans. We were off to bed now.
Freya and Edd.
Sounds great, I can only imagine how much of an impression the people, sights, sounds and culture will have made. No fish for supper? 😉
Fab to hear about the wonderful greeting and welcome you’ve all received from pupils, staff and other locals. Camp all set up and ready to go: how exciting 🙂
I’m loving the blogs guys. Keep them coming. And more photos please. Hope everyone is coping well with the food. Loving the photos too. I enjoyed seeing Clara and Miss Diamantis on the dance floor. Great fun.
Da king of da north!
