Day 6 – 3/07/2017
Today, we woke up early as we had to continue painting the nursery. We had already finished the outside, but we had to tidy up and finish the inside. When we got to the school, everyone was ready to paint including the students. Despite being a holiday, everyone had their hands on and eventually got the job done. After, we headed towards Cape Coast Castle, which was very emotional, and touching, we witnessed the rooms that the slaves had been kept and in which some of them died in due to conditions. We also saw the door of no return and this is where slaves last was their families and the door was later renamed as door of no return by the Ghanaians, which I found very remarkable.
