Hey guys it’s Ellie! (back again)

Today we have had a particularly busy and fun day! We woke up bright, early and very tired from the Nutella sugar crash from the night before! We had to get ready for a morning at our buddies’ houses, a day that had been particularly anticipated! It had been decided we would go as a group to each buddies’ house which calmed a lot of original nerves! On the way to the first buddy home we stopped off at the Sunday market to buy the passion fruit and mango we had not been able to find in the fruit market the day before.
First we headed off to my buddy’s house for breakfast where we were served a traditional breakfast of rices, tuna and curry. Between there and lunch we visited five more buddies’ homes where we were served an array of yummy cakes and tropical fruit, all of which was delicious! For lunch we ate at Eliza’s buddy’s aunt’s hotel. We all sat with our buddies and had some much needed bonding time with them over some yummy food! Lunch was comically finished by us trying to teach our buddies the bottle flipping craze; they were probably better at it than us! After lunch we visited the last two buddy homes where we were stuffed with even more cake and fruit before practically rolling back to bus to head back to Janoda.

After a quick turn around we all piled back in to the bus to head off to the elephant orphanage with our buddies! After an hour drive we were all excited to see the baby elephants and it did not disappoint, the small, cute and hairy elephants but a giant smile on everyone’s face! Although Charlie got a little over excited and dropped her go pro in to the elephant pen! Thank you to the man who got it out for her! After that we were all surprised to find out we were going on a safari. Despite the slightly bumpy ride, the views were beautiful especially with the gorgeous sunset! We saw elephants, peacocks, mongoose, crocodile, buffalo, monkeys, turtles and lots of birds and eagles! It was an amazing experience and I’m sure you will be seeing loads of photos and videos of it! It was particularly funny when a big bottle of Fanta fell out of one of the jeeps and another group had to stop and pick it up! If was a day full of lots of laughs and trying lots and lots of new things; right now we are having a meeting and naming all the new things we tried!

We are all having an amazing time here and we cannot believe it is nearly over! Tomorrow we are all looking forward to going to the beach in the afternoon! We all send our love!

Hamish moment of the day: Eating a REALLY bitter grape!

Lots of love and see you soon xxxxxxx
