Day 7 – Thursday 6/04/17
Carol’s morning call woke us up as usual early in the day. For breakfast we enjoyed scrambled egg, toast and baked beans along side fresh watermelon from Ayensudo. Henry, Alex and Harry ( as project leaders) planned the sports day that we hosted in the afternoon…..It was very successful!! We must not forget lunch which consisted of pasta and sausage and tomato sauce, a meal that reminded us home. After lunch we gave the Ayensudo team a tour of Dwabor’s cocoa farm. Harry got his foot soaked while crossing a river and Alex managed to get her foot covered with what smelt like human waste. After this everyone ate dinner which consisted of rice ball and soup. We also tried our first fufu ( made from hours of mashing cassava with a long wooden stick). Everyone got ready for the dancing and the bonfire later that evening. Luckily we managed to find some left over haribo sweets that excited us all and raised the moral. Overall today was a good day and we can’t wait for tomorrow. Alex and Harry are now sat on the roundabout writing this amazing blog:)
