Day 3 – Sunday 2/04/17

We started off today with pancakes and Nutella or sugar for breakfast followed by our first shower in Ayensudo (our shower consisted of a water and a saucepan, but surprisingly it was really nice because it was so refreshing!). At 9am we went to a Catholic church, where we listened to different Ghanaian hymns and speeches, unfortunately the whole two and a half hours were in fante so we didn’t understand anything. Because of the hot weather we all drank lots of water but that lead to us all bursting for the toilet by the end of the ceremony. Then we made our way back to the camp with our buddies who we met at the church for a lunch of yam chips and salad.

After this Leah, Maddy, Katie, Zoe, Amber and Miss Gilbert got their hair braided by their buddies and other Ayensudo students. For dinners we had a delicious egg curry with rice which we all had seconds of. Then we all sat down discussing who was the star and the dip of the day with a large plate of watermelon. We will keep you posted!
