Tuesday 07/07/15

We woke up after our first night in Kwahu Tafo to a tasty breakfast of pancakes and chocolate. Even early in the morning the weather was really warm. Jobs today was painting the kindergaten and doing construction works in the library and classrooms were allocated and carried out throughout the morning.

For lunch we ate spaghetti and vegie sauce and afterwards we spent sametime with the locals and our buddies. We then got back to painting and our construction work, we tried carrying water on our heads which was really difficult for us but second nature to the local children.
By the end of the day we had made good progress painting the kindergarten and had picked the floor of one of the classrooms. We all had our first bucket shower and enjoyed a meal of beans stew, rice and fried plantain.

Finally we moved our mosquito net tent outside to fall asleep under the stars.

Wednesday 08/07/15
We woke after an all night sleep. A few people were kept up by the wind. But that wasnt too bad. For breakfast there was eggy bread and we had varieties to choose from. We had Milo, coffee and tea. It was nice and we had enough but some of us too were noy quite keen. The jobs we had to do that day were collecting water(8 people), painting(5 people), cleaning(5 people) and mixing cement(5 people).

For lunch, there was cheese, tomatoes and cucumber sandwiches. By the end of the day we managed to finish relaying the floor.
