DAY 10 – MONDAY, 29TH JUNE 2015

Today was a hard working day which we used to focus on doing the mural and finished painting the inside of the buildings and adding details. That night the rain was really heavy and we had to move inside but some of the girls slept under the markee and a couple on the end got wet and had to sleep on the sofa’s.

DAY 11 – TUESDAY, 30TH JUNE 2015

We did project work and added final details in the morning to the mural then we ate lunch and left to go to Ankaase to go to the castle. The Castle was amazing and we learnt about the conditions that the slaves had to live in, including some of the methods used to torture the slaves when they stepped out of line.

DAY 12 – WEDNESDAY, 1ST JULY 2015

Today was our final day in Ankaase, so we made the most of it by finishing off anything that needed doing until we went to the closing ceremony. Pezza got crowd surfed and now goes by the name of Chief Pezza of development. After speeches from both parties and our work we had done was handed over. Some of the Ghanaian buddies performed a dance; We then returned this with our own dance, that was ‘waka waka’ from the world cup that the Ghanaians loved and could sing along to. After meeting our buddies parents, we finished our stay of with a big buffet that we shared with our buddies. Earlier that day we also played rounders which some of the locals picked up very quickly. After an emotional goodbye to the whole community we set of to go to Stumble Inn
