Bennett – Ankaful team – day 11

Partner Schools Worldwide > Bennett Memorial and Ankaful JHS > Bennett – Ankaful team – day 11

untitled

Day 11 – by the whole team

We have continued with the Poultry Farm project, with the chicken coup almost complete. Also, the whole group met the Chief (Nana) and we decided to have our own Chief and Queen Mother within our group, Tim is Chief and Abbie is Queen Mother. Today we are going to the market in Cape Coast where we will all be starting to buy our souvenirs.

We have looked back on the time we have spent in Ghana and considered the similarities and differences between this culture and our own.

Similarities:

Bread

Love of Football

Love of children

Advertising is all over the place

Differences:

People are more friendly

Animals roam free

Gospel church is very lively

Oranges are Green

Things are carried on your head

Water comes in bags

80% of the cars are taxis

We are missing home but having such a great time! Looking forward to the next ten days.

Love from the Bennett Memorial Team
