After breakfast we split into our teams, five people to finish off the murals in the classroom and the others to go back to the Chiefs Palace to replaster the walls. Emilie and Bradley continued with their amazing animal paintings and the classroom looks almost finished!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After having a quick lunch, cooked by the team and of course Augustina, team 8 and their buddies went to cape coast castle and visited the Elmina markets. To get there we took the school busses, there were two; one with air-con and plenty of room whilst in the other bus there was a lack of ventilation and space! However it was a fun experience and nice to get to know our buddies better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The castle was really interesting and the tour guide told us all about the slaves that were once held there. It was such a hot day but it was still an eye-opening experience which was good to share with the other children from the village. From the castle we took the busses to the markets where we bought various items (mainly food despite the great meals that we receive). \u2018Fan ices\u2019, vanilla ice lollies, were particularly popular with everyone due to the heat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was a fun but hot day and we came back to a camp fire and lovely meal in the evening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Charlotte and Marcus<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Charlotte \u2013 hello family in England, 14 days left \u2013 bet you\u2019re counting them down!
