Nicola<\/strong> \u2013 It was brilliant to meet our buddies and have them show us around school and the kindergarten.<\/p>\n

Megan<\/strong> \u2013 It was brilliant how welcoming people have been and how the group has mixed together!<\/p>\n

Bethany<\/strong> \u2013 It was amazing to meet our buddies and the ceremony was brilliant, especially our dancing!<\/p>\n

Sophie<\/strong> \u2013 We got the chance to do some Ghanaian dancing (embarrass ourselves) and get to know our buddies, who even walked us home. J<\/p>\n

Vicky<\/strong> \u2013 Taxi drivers hoot at us as we are walking along the main road \u2013 11 times today! Apparently, it\u2019s because we are white.<\/p>\n

Ellie<\/strong> \u2013 It was so good meeting our buddies after so long! It was also amazing to look around the school and see the dancing.<\/p>\n

Molly<\/strong> \u2013 After 2 days\u2019 travelling, it felt amazing to get stuck in and meet our buddies. Everyone\u2019s so welcoming. Not used to the heat yet.<\/p>\n

Alice<\/strong> \u2013 It\u2019s lovely to see smiling faces everywhere we go and lovely to meet our buddies today. Can\u2019t wait for the next few weeks!<\/p>\n

Anna<\/strong> \u2013 I love it here, meeting Comfort\u2019s little children yesterday was great and my buddy is lovely. So excited to come home with all the stories from this trip!<\/p>\n

Elisabeth<\/strong> \u2013 I\u2019ve settled down really well here although I had problems using the trolley at the airport. It\u2019s been really fun so far and very welcoming. My buddy is also very friendly.<\/p>\n

Dorothy Afful (Ankaful Junior High School Student)<\/strong> \u2013 There was a welcome ceremony which started around 9.50am. The school cultural group met the Bennett teachers and the students along the way.<\/p>\n

Ghana flags were given to each of the students and beads were given to Louise and Emily. There was an opening prayer and welcome address from the headmistress to formally welcome our partner school.<\/p>\n

The chairperson was in the person of Mr David Mensah the Assemblyman of the area. A cultural display was held where the UK students were invited to dance! The circuit supervisor also addressed the gathering. A closing prayer was around 11:20 to draw the curtains down.<\/p>\n

Photographs were taken and buddies were introduced to each other. We socialised with each other. The buddies from the UK presented gifts to us. It is actually a great opportunity to have visitors like this.<\/p>\n

The UK students are lovely. We did a little tour of the school with the buddies after which we went back to our classrooms for teaching and learning. We had lunch together with our UK buddies and after school closed at 2.20, we walked them back to their guesthouse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
