So today we woke up at around 6 (which is way too early because we cannot function properly) so we could go on the elephant walk. Each morning, some of the elephants leave the foundation with their Mahouts to graze in other areas so that they experience a little of life in the wild. Then we had oats for breakfast, which nobody liked except me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 8:30 we headed off to Kandy, which was more developed than we\u2019d all expected. We went to the Temple of the Tooth where we had a tour guide who didn\u2019t understand the concept of one item only being able to be in one place at once. We went on an afternoons troll beside a lake and admired the originality of the tuk tuks which kept beeping at us. Eventually we walked back into the town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had lunch at Secret Alley Cafe. During lunch, Otto got absolutely clapped by the ceiling fan when it fell down and got a free chocolate brownie milkshake as compensation. He was pleased, as he was absolutely fine. We then went to the market to buy spices and souvenirs. However we got hassled by the stall holders and were not particularly comfortable with these customs.We then headed back to MEF and chilaxed on the hammocks with the dogs. As I write this, I am in a hammock with Cheddar the dog, enjoying watching the fireflies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
