Our Journey began at school where we got a coach to MCR\nairport. The first flight was from Manchester to Dubai, a place rich in culture\nand people; something the airport showed in full glory. Many of us visited\nshops unique to the place such as Nutella caf\u00e9 and local sweets. Our next\nflight was not even 2 hours later where we made friends with another school\ngroup through a shared game of trivia. Our last stretch of the journey\nconsisted of a 6-7 hour ride by coach with a small stop at a local KFC where we\ndiscovered the food here is nothing like the one at home teaching many of us\nthat even fast food varies from culture to culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We finally reached our destination, Janoda Foundation, in\nlate afternoon and many of us took advantage of the warm weather and cool\noutside showers to experience life like the locals do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We then visited historical as well as current landmarks and completed our journey with a trip to the\nsupermarket. At the end of the day we enjoyed a traditional Sri Lankan dinner\nfilled with many exotic spices and flavours. Then exhausted beyond compare from\nthe days exiting events we then went on to discuss what we thought about the\nday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We talked about how we felt about the events that occurred;\ndid we like or dislike the food, what we thought about the landmarks and the\nlocal people and what we were excited to see and do the next day. The group\nconversation was long and after an even longer day full of exhilarating events\nwe decided to head of to our beds exited for tomorrow and the many adventures\nit would bring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
