The short hour and a half journey to the airport seemed to fly by with all of us being so excited. Once on the plane some of us hadn&#8217;t flown before and so there were constant reassurance from each other. After landing in Amsterdam for a whole of 20 minutes we boarded the second plane for the next six and a half hours all eagerly awaiting the arrival in Ghana. Stepping off the plane my first impression was, of course, the heat even at nearly 8 o&#8217;clock. The next thing that I noticed was the energy of the people from passport control to currency exchange the positivity was there.
