Day 14-3\/08\/2017
\nToday we woke up at the early time of 5:30 to get ready and eat breakfast. Breakfast was eggy bread
\nwith beans, top choco or sugar. We had to pack away the tents before boarding the coaches at 8 o
\nclock. There was about an hour\u2019s drive to the first attraction, the banana plantation. At the banana
\nplantation, we got a guided tour of the areas where the fruit was grown and the plant where they were
\ncleaned and packaged. The tour was very interesting and it turned out a lot of the bananas from there
\nwere sent to the U.K. Afterwards we went to the camp site, where we are currently, and pitched the
\ntents in preparation for later; we also had lunch which was rice in a lamb sauce. We then left the
\ncampsite to travel to the monkey sanctuary. After a short journey, we arrived. The sanctuary was very
\nlarge and so, as a result, we only got to see a small part of it. We had a guide with us who called the
\nmonkeys over to the road so that we could feed them bananas from our hands. If you were lucky, a
\nmonkey would come and sit on your arm to eat which provided a great photo taking opportunity. The
\nfinal stop of the day was a small village nearby. There, the main occupation was weaving fabric and so
\nmany of the villagers were weaving when we were looking around. We got one of the villagers to give us
\na tour of the area so we could learn about the process. They also sold freshly made Ghanaian doughnuts
\nwhich were delicious. We then returned to the campsite, ate dinner – which was rice and red red with
\nfried plantain, and finished off the day with card games.
