The day started off with us having bread and omelettes for breakfast and then having to head out to Tzu-Chi school to play our ice breaker game with our buddies, giant jenga. We then had a reading session with our buddies where we read different levelled books and then marked their progress on their star reader bookmarks; this helped us become more confident around our buddies as we spent one on one time together. After that we took all our donation books to the school library and filled up the shelves with the 3 suitcases full of books!<br \/>\nWe got back on the bus and headed back to the Janoda foundation to have lunch and get ready for our buddy afternoon where we would be painting the tote bags but we ended up have around 2 hours of free, relaxation time before our buddies were going to arrive. Once our buddies arrived we had to rush to the preschool for a presentation from the local English club where children in preschool to grade 6, from rural and non English speaking families sang songs and presented poems and short speeches. We were then asked to go up and sing a song from when we were little (we didn&#8217;t know about this) so we sang heads shoulders knees and toes and ring a ring a roses. Then came back inside and started to paint our tote bags- this was lots of fun. Some were more artistic than others *Eliza* and some less *Hatty*.<br \/>\nOnce we had said goodbye to our buddies we had a long time spent on doing henna on everyone including myself (thank god for Charlie and Eliza, the really arty ones!) After a delicious dinner of non spicy salad, rice and chicken, we sang along to 80s and 90s songs including some well loved S Club 7!<br \/>\nWe miss you a lot and can&#8217;t wait to show you pictures of the entertainment of our lizard watching.<br \/>\nFrom the best Sri Lanka team, Hamish, Esha, Jess, Katie, Eliza, Hatty, Charlie, Lily and Ellie xxx<br \/>\nP.S.
