Day 16
\nToday was largely uneventful and was basically just a travel-day, but we did also visit a small bead-making factory on our way to the new campsite.
\nThe factory was actually surprisingly interesting; we saw the entire process \u2013 from gathering old beads and melting them down, to molding and then stringing together the newly formed beads. We also had a chance to buy overpriced completed bracelets and necklaces (almost as if the shop was strategically placed after the point where we learned about how difficult it was to make them!?!).
\nThere were multiple busses \u2013 one of which was a slightly cramped but still relatively comfortable small blue Toyota van, and the other being a huge orange death machine of fun. This is a very large safari vehicle that launches itself into space at the smallest bump in the road. It\u2019s not for everyone and is definitely an acquired taste, but if you don\u2019t tend to get travelsick, then it\u2019s a great old time.
\nDinner was Jollof rice, which essentially is rice with a bit of spice \u2013 we often find that we have an abundance of it lying on the tables and floor when we don\u2019t need it.
\nAs Oscar and I are writing this, we are witnessing some spectacular sights, such as a big black phallic object in our campsite\u2019s garden being mounted and swung on by Peter.
